What is your strongest strain?

Q: What is your strongest or your best strain? Which one has the highest THC content or percentage? Which one has the nicest taste and high?
Q: I’m looking for something that will give me a really powerful stone. Which strain do you recommend?

A: This is a hard question to answer, because it’s so subjective. Different people react differently to different strains, and what one person considers to be strong may be mild to another. A medical user may be looking for a plant with especially potent pain-killing effects, while an old-school afficionado might prefer a buoyant head-trippy variety. THC-levels may also vary per phenotype and per grow.

So, instead of singling out just one of our singular strains, we’ve made up a handy overview. Here are some of our recommendations for different types of users.

Medical:
We have a seperate category for medicinal marijuana in our shop, which can be browsed by clicking here. Patients who suffer from chronic pain will typically opt for body-stone-inducing strains with good analgesic properties, such as White Rhino and Snow White. These varieties are also used to aid sleep. Sativa-dominant strains like Eldorado and Haze#1 may be of use to combat feelings of anxiety or depression. Sweet-tasting strains, for instance Bubblelicious, are popular for helping to relieve nausea and stimulating the appetite. Please also refer to this Knowledge Base article about medical strains.

Body stone:
Recreational users looking for a heavy, narcotic buzz that is felt throughout the body, a so-called ’couchlock’, should mainly be interested in indica-dominant strains. Good body stone strains are our dense and crystal-dusted Aurora Indica, our award-winning favourite Ice and, for the gourmet stoner, the deliciously cane-sugared Medusa or exotic Papaya.

Cerebral high:
Recreational users who prefer a headier, trippier rush that mostly affects the brain, and who are looking for a sociable, giddy or inspirational high, should pick a sativa-dominant strain. We recommend our smooth and fruity Hawaii Maui Waui, our intense Haze#1, our new Royal Flush with its sensational sweet-and-sour flavour, or, for a tropical trip you’ll never forget, our spicy Full Moon.

Old school:
For those who dig that old school flavour, we carry a number of good old-fashioned classics with unbeatable genetics. Try uppy Jock Horror, earthy Master Kush, robust Swiss Cheese or go straight for the First Lady of Cannabis: our energising White Widow. Our legendary Northern Light is another ever-popular choice, or for something a bit different, there is Sterling Haze, our delicous Northern Light/Haze hybrid.

Commercial growers:
Commercial growers looking for a lot of dank for their dollar definitely need to try our
high-hitting, high-yielding trade favourites. There’s powerhouse Pure Power Plant, lemony New York Power Diesel with its tight buds, our easy-to-manicure Super Skunk and for fans of violet, new favourite Blackberry. Growing for medical patients? We highly recommend Raspberry Cough 100% feminised, which has excellent medicinal effects combined with a potential for huge yields of female plants.

Newbie growers:
If you’re new to the wonderful world of weed growing, you will love Nirvana! At unbeatable prices, we offer a selection of easy-to-grow quality cannabis strains to help you attain the grow of your dreams! Our all-round beginner-friendly strain with a nice mix of indica and sativa qualities is AK-48. This strain is really easy to grow and try out new techniques (such as supercropping or SCROG) on. If you’re a beginner growing outdoors, we recommend you try Kaya Gold. This 100% feminised variety will yield only top-notch female cannabis plants. Kaya will flourish in most any climate, is hardy, mould-resistant and offers a nice spicy high. For indoor growers with limited experience, we offer a surprise value pack of five different indoor strains called Indoor Mix. This is the perfect choice if you’d like to try several varieties without breaking the bank, and it also comes in a completely feminised version, eliminating the need to cull male plants. For newbie growers who’d like the special qualities of an outdoor strain in their grow room, we’ve developed Urban Poison, our indoor version of the famed Durban Poison. Lastly, Blue Mystic is a good strain for cautious beginners because it maintains a relatively neutral smell throughout the flowering period.

Northern Lights is a great strain. not a huge producer, but it gets so resinous that it sticks to your fingers. It can take a beating as well, not that it’s recommended though, but it is great for beginners

I would like to add that White Castle had a good deal of pain killing properties. it was a good sativa/indica mix too. plenty of indica feeling for a mostly sativa plant. it tastes great too.
